Tribute & Message From The Family
John P. Corrigan, 91, of Rockland, MA passed away on July 16, 2020. Husband to the late Majorie A. (Holmberg) Corrigan. John was born December 31, 1928 to Phillip J. and Mary T. (Gallagher) Corrigan. He was raised and educated in Everett, MA. After graduation, John enlisted in the Navy to serve his country during the Korean War. John served as a Hospital Corpsman Third Class alongside a Marine Infantry Company. For his gallantry in action, John was awarded The Silver Star.
John is survived by his children, Linda C. Foley and Neal of Rhode Island, Susan A. Jacobs and Gregory of Rockland, MA, and John P. Corrigan Jr. and Karen (Smith) of Plymouth, MA; and a surviving brother Edward Corrigan of Stoneham, MA. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren : Erin Prestileo, Colleen Wheaton, and Patrick Foley; Kerry Sepeck, Gregory and Jason Jacobs; and Joshua and Mackenzie Corrigan - as well as eleven great grandchildren : Erin and Tyler Long; Benjamin Sepeck; Mason, Cole, Ryan, and Noah Jacobs; Samuel and Benjamin Prestileo; and Graham and Levi Wheaton.
During 63 years of marriage, John and Margie enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas, NV and Lake George, NY for the horse races. John and his brothers loved to play poker, and they were season ticket holders for their beloved New England Patriots for many years. Annually, John and his family found themselves gathering at the family home in Everett with Aunt Harriett's love of family bringing them all together in Septembers.
John was lovingly cared for in his home for his final four years by his daughter Susan and her husband Gregory. Our family extends our deepest gratitude to South Shore Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center for their dedication in John's trying final weeks with us.
In honoring John, a wake will be hosted at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home at 135 Union Street, Rockland MA on Monday, July 20th from 4 PM to 7 PM. A funeral Mass will be held at 9 AM on Tuesday, July 21st at Saint Bridget Parish at 455 Plymouth Street, Abington MA. A private family burial will be Wednesday, July 22nd, while we lay him to rest at the Massachusetts National Cemetary in Bourne, MA. In lieu of flowers, please direct donations in John's name to the Disabled American Veterans organization at www.dav.org.

So very sorry for your loss. A lot of great memories at Pats games, even before they were winners, always had fun and really enjoyed his company.

Mr Corrigan was a frequent lunch diner at the restaurant I managed. I will miss his smile and friendly bantor❤ And his father and son weekly trips❤
