Obituary

Rosemary "Roie" (Higgins) Torello, 69, passed away peacefully in her home on December 14, 2017. She entered eternal rest after fighting a courageous battle with colorectal cancer.

Rosemary was born and raised in Randolph Ma. She was the daughter of the late Rose Higgins and the late James Higgins. She worked at John Hancock and Randy's Shoe Company before marrying her beloved husband, the late Douglas Torello. The pair moved to Rockland in 1974, where they built their family and later their business, Torello Painting & Contracting. Rosemary was a social butterfly with a terrific sense of humor and an adventurous spirit. Her home was her castle where she renovated, decorated, and celebrated with her family and friends. She was known for her sense of style and elaborate holiday decorations.

Rosemary was a devoted mother to Tina Torello-Rickson and her husband Larry, of Whitman, Lisa Marobella and her husband Rob of Weymouth, and Tanya Torello of Rockland. She was adored by her grandchildren Lucy Douglas Torello, Mary-Rose Marobella, Dominick Marobella and Kaylie Fisher. Rosemary is survived by her dear sister and best friend Annette Nichols and her husband Nicky of Pembroke, and her brother Richard Higgins of Florida. She was predeceased by her brother James Higgins. In addition to her biological children, she leaves her "adopted" children, Kevin MacNeil, Sean Fisher and his wife Rebecca, and Chrissy Burke. She will be greatly missed by the ladies of Fuca Kie Dole, her treasured girlfriends. Last but not least, she leaves behind her faithful dog Baron.
