Obituary

Constance A. Flavell-Pratt, 90 a longtime Norwell resident died on November 21, 2016 at the Wingate at Silver Lake Nursing Facility in Kingston. She was born in Rockland daughter of the late Paul and Ann (O'Brien) Flavell and was raised and educated there She was a graduate of Rockland High School and later received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Massachusetts College of Art.

Constance was a renowned portrait artist having been commissioned to portray many Massachusetts politicians and College administrators. Her career led her to be a well-known and highly respected courtroom artist. She provided images for several local television news outlets during many very high profile trials.

Mrs. Flavell-Pratt was a member of the Copley Society in Boston as well as the South Shore and Scituate Art Associations.

Wife of the late Robert L. Pratt who died in 2006, she is survived by her daughter Mary L. Studley and her husband Jay of Hanson, a grandson, Mark R. Gredler and a great grandson Owen B. Gredler. She was the sister of Jane Flavell-Collins of Duxbury and John Flavell of California. She was pre-deceased by her sister in law Dorothy M. Salvucci. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

The family welcomes friends and relatives to celebrate her life on Friday, November 25, 2016 at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street Rockland from 4:00-7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 9:00 AM at Holy Family Church. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery in Rockland.
