Obituary

Ethel I. Purslow (Daum), 95, of Rockland, died on March 20, 2020 after a period of failing health. She was born in Cambridge, Daughter of the late George and Agnes (Silva) Daum.
Ethel was an avid Red Sox fan since the age of 15, she was also a big Bruins fan. She volunteered and participated at the Marshfield Faire and won many ribbons on her handmade crafts that ranged from knitting to crochet lace to embroidery. Ethel belonged to a sewing group that still meets every week to this day and have been for over 25 years. She also belonged to the Golden Ages at the Senior Center, The Red Hat Society, and The Woman of Hatherly at the Hatherly United Methodist church for many years. Mrs. Purslow was a long time volunteer at The Last Resort Cat Shelter in Hanover. She enjoyed square dancing, line dancing and round dancing with her beloved Husband of 45 years, Roger. She also enjoyed camping with her family.
Ethel was the Wife of the late Roger M. Purslow. Mother of, Diane Purslow who lived with her, Roger Purslow, Stephen Purslow and wife Susan, David Purslow and wife Tammye, Sharon Agnew and husband David. Sister of, Patricia and her husband George Couper, and sister Sandie and her husband Gunner Nilsson and the late George E. Daum Jr. and Joyce Butler. Grandmother of Stacey, Barbara, Lynda, Kara, Marc, Nicholas and Sean. Great Grandmother of Matthew, Samuel and Kelcey , Camden, Bryce, Amanda and Kaley, Emily, Colin and Duncan. Also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to, The Last Resort Cat Shelter 1126 Broadway Hanover mass 02339.
