Obituary

ORONO - Kenneth G. Murray, 77, husband of Faye (Chase), died June 16, 2020, after a lengthy illness at his home. Ken was born in Boston, MA, the only child of George R. and Evelyn (Dyson) Murray.
Ken was predeceased by his wife Carol (Cleary) in 2000.

Ken graduated from Weymouth High School and attended Northeastern. He worked for more than 20 years for Nabisco as an operations supervisor auditor. He was general manager at Ava Distributing and then went on as a salesman for Stockdale Reagan. Ken started KandCBrokerage and partnered with Gazerro Associates. Ken and Andy were a wonderful team and have spent many years together as colleagues and best friends. Ken also was employed for more than 20 years by the City of Rockland, MA as an auxiliary police officer, finishing his career there as auxiliary police chief in 1985, he also served on the finance committee and as republican registrar of voters. Ken was also a Boy Scout leader with his sons as they were growing up and a proud member of the Rockland Lions Club having served as their president, he was also a member of the Orono-Old Town Kiwanis.

Ken was an amazing husband, father, and friend to all he knew and loved and was affectionately known as "the candy man" as he always had a trunk full of samples. Ken loved telling stories of his adventures and loved gathering with his friends for afternoon barbeques. He moved to Maine never having had a cat in his life and after professing his dislike for them quickly changed his tune and became the "daddy" of his furry babies. Ken enjoyed cruise vacations. Ken's most cherished love was raising his daughter Brianna and was in complete awe of the beautiful young, strong woman she has become.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Faye are his sons, Kenneth Murray Jr., Paul Murray and his wife Dawn, daughters, Brianna Murray and fiancé, Stephen Desjardins, Angela Turner and partner, Corey Pendleton, Faye Plummer; grandchildren, Paul, Jr. (PJ), Kyle, Brian, Cameron, Amber, Robyn; and many step-grandchildren, and great-grandkids; and brother-in-law, Kelly Chase, and wife, Kim. Ken was the "little-buddy" to his brother-in-law David Chase and wife, Betty.
